Why Hannah?

The reason I chose the story of Hannah as the foundation for my platform, and initially called my platform 21st Century Hannah, is because though she finally had the children she desired; I knew how she felt begging God for a child.  I knew how she felt to be harassed by another woman who had children. I knew how she felt to seem like a crazy woman by others.

I know how it feels to live in the 21st Century and be childless not by choice. The difference between myself and Hannah is that God answered her prayers by granting her not one, but five children. My prayers were answered with a no. I did not get the child. There are millions of women, and men, around the world who know that feeling. I am creating awareness through conversation on behalf of the childless not by choice around the world.
